I have been pushing a lot of things to the back burner lately, but I decided to finally finish with this photoshoot I did with my friend Lauren. We managed to get a few shots off outside while the sun was going down, we have had so much rain this summer it was a surprise to see the sun. I also had a chance to try out my new ring light that I had put together, I was pretty happy with the results, but I would like to make another one to increase the output some more. I will be making a post about on making my ring light when I put together my new one. I thought the shoot went very well, I still have some more ideas that I wanted to try, but that will have to wait for another day. Looking forward to shooting with her again!

We all had a great time and some nice sun burns to show off. I did manage to get a few good photos, too. I don’t know why I like this shot so much, I guess it is because he just walked over to this rock, no camera… no group of people… and took it all in! It was such a great day to be outdoors and if you want to see some more of my shots just go to my Flickr page to check them out!

Notes: I made a snoot tonight out of an empty can of chips and I wanted to test is out to see if it worked. I use to have good size simpsons collection, that has been getting smaller everytime I move, and I thought Homer Simpson would be a good sport and model for me. More photos can be found on my Flickr page of the whole family, and I will post a quick tutorial on how I made my snoot, it is so simple.
